Hi, I'm Diane! Welcome! If you're new here, I wanted to kick things off with a little introduction before we dive into all the budgeting, bookkeeping, and cash flow talk that's coming your way on this blog.

So here's my story. My background is actually in the Audio/Visual industry, not accounting. I spent years around business owners who were incredible at what they did... installing systems, running crews, keeping clients happy, but when it came to the financial side of their business, a lot of them were just kind of winging it. Invoices piling up, no real idea what they were actually making, taxes handled in a panic every spring. And I got it. Nobody starts a business because they love bookkeeping. You start a business because you're good at something else, and the money stuff just has to get done somehow.

That "somehow" is exactly the problem. Because when your finances are being managed by whatever time is left over at the end of a long day, things slip. And those little slips add up into big stress, not knowing if you can afford to hire, not knowing if this was actually a good month, not knowing if you're even paying yourself enough to live on. That's what pushed me to go all in on the financial side and start Powers Financial Business Solutions.

I offer nationwide bookkeeping and Fractional CFO services right here in Las Vegas, and my whole goal is to be the financial partner that business owners wish they had from day one. Not just someone who plugs numbers into a spreadsheet, but someone who actually helps you understand what those numbers are telling you and what to do next. Whether you just need your books cleaned up and kept current, a little more hands-on accounting support, or full CFO-level guidance to help you plan ahead and grow, there's a level of support built for wherever you're at.

I especially love working with businesses that don't always get the attention they deserve from bigger firms ...think Audio/Visual companies, insurance agencies, small retail boutiques, and plenty of other hardworking small businesses that just need someone in their corner who actually gets it.

Nothing overly technical, nothing stuffy. Just practical stuff you can actually use.
